October proved to be pretty busy the last couple of weeks. Brace yourselves people....it's going to be a long, but great, ride.
Zoe and Noah both had school programs in October. Zoe's program was based on Aesop's Fables. She was the Queen. Aesop came to court to entertain them with some of his tales, which were acted out. I forgot some of the great, yet simple lessons in his stories. It was very entertaining and humorous. The kids did a great job.
Noah's program was the story of Christopher Columbus. He was the Head Sailor, who steered Colombus' ship. Columbus was Noah's good friend Ty, which made it even more fun for him. I love that Carden places such great emphasis on history, especially our country's roots and foundation.
Another fun event in October was FrEaKy FrIdAy at Wheeler Farm. Chris' mom bought us tickets. The kids went on a hay ride then we watched FrEaKy FrIdAy done by Clayton Productions. They were all dressed up like zombies and walked around in true character. They would stare you down and even growl at you. They had my niece, Daelee, in tears (she scares easily) and had the other kids pretty creeped out. Then they sang and danced to some favorite Halloween songs like Thriller, etc. It was short and sweet....perfect for us and the dad's that had to sit through it. Afterwards we walked around the grounds for a few minutes and took some pictures. All in all, a fun family night.
That weekend we had Regional Conference. Our Stake was fortunate enough to be invited down to the Conference Center. Pres. Monson presided and spoke. What a great experience to have my family is such a wonderful place, filled with the spirit of our living prophet. I loved it!
Originally we planned to take Trax down, but figured we might be late. Afterwards, the kids really wanted to take the train, so Chris (cute dad that he is) rode Trax home with them. They thought it was so fun. It was especially great for Noah. The conductor of the train invited him up where he was driving and even let him honk the horn. A memory he will not soon forget.
Adam and Jenn went down with us, so we invited them and Chris' parents over for dinner. Not surprisingly, that evening we had to have a little "wrestle mania".
Well, that's the bulk of it. Next post: Halloween

Sounds like a fun October, although crazy. I can relate. It is cute that Chris rode Trax home with the kids.
