I found it!

I have been meaning to post for some time now, but I could not find my little cord that connects the camera to the computer so I could not download my pictures. But, the good news is, I found it! Right in front of me, right where it is supposed to be. I don't get it because I swear it was not there before. At any rate, I am glad to be up and running once again.

My Bear is one kid that needs his sleep. I never have trouble getting him to go to bed and he is asleep as soon as he hits the pillow (literally). He sleeps long and deep, ironically just like a bear.

Well, a little over a week ago he had his first, unofficial late-over. He was playing with a friend and I did not pick him up until 10:00 pm. He had a blast, but I could tell he was so tired. I wasn't feeling energetic enough to carry him in, so I tried to keep him in conversation as much as possible on the way home to keep him awake. He was drifting, but was able to make it inside. I left him to get his pj's on and this is what I came back to...

Yep, the poor kid was plum tuckered out and only had enough in him to get his pants down to his bum before he collapsed on the bed. I wasn't sure if he was just tired, or if the state of his room and inability to find his bed just overwhelmed him. I think it must have been a little of both. :)

Zoe is my little creator. She loves to make concoctions in the kitchen. It usually takes a lot of pleading because I am not a fan of cleaning up the mess, but I let her at it. This time her creation was called something like "Mooshy Goosh", but I have to tell you it wasn't too bad. It was basically Rice Krispie treats, but with Honey-nut Cheerios and caramel drizzled over the top. She didn't use a recipe, just a little of this, then a little more, then a little of that. It beat the "Sky Bars" (chunks of granola bars covered in blue Cool Whip) she made last time! It actually was yummy enough that she made another batch the next day.

Conference weekend was, of course, WONDERFUL! I so look forward to it every six months. There was actually a guy named Paulo that Chris worked with in Brazil who is here for the week. He is not LDS, but he wanted to attend a session of Conference (he works with some LDS people in Brazil). He and Chris went down for the last session and then we had him over for dinner. He really enjoyed it! He said he was worried that he wouldn't be able to make it through two hours of people talking about God and the Bible, but was surprised how fast it went. He really liked how they talked about other things in everyday life like marriage and family.

It made me think about how much I love having my Heavenly Father involved in every aspect, every day, of my life. How sad for those who only allow God to be in their lives one day a week and not on a personal level. I feel truly blessed to have a testimony. The gospel is about working through this life with a loving Father in Heaven. We truly are never alone!
