This quiet is great for getting work done. I am sure my clients appreciate speaking to me without hearing "Mom...." this and "Mom..." that in the background. But it is soooo quiet. Humph.
Did I ever tell you how much I love my children? Trying to think of words to describe it, but can't find anything substantial enough. You know what I mean.
I couple of weeks ago we were having an interesting Sunday. People weren't feeling well and Chris and I had been back in our room deep in deep conversation. We ended up missing church. Of course kids are so sensitive to the spirit and they could just sense what we needed. I could hear them working- actually working together- making big plans and getting along wonderfully (rare treat, right?).
I came out to find a royal feast in the making. Kids in costumes, crowns made, table set, name cards placed....the works! I helped finish up the multi-course meal and we dined royally. It was what we all needed; a peaceful, lovely and entertaining evening together as a family.
How grateful I am that they are mine!
