I CAN'T BELIEVE MY BABY'S 3! Seriously...
Jonah started his big day with a haircut by Shayla. Of course, he didn't want his hair fixed beyond that, but it was his day so I didn't push it. Then we decorated Indy-style for the big 3 party. He didn't feel what we had was sufficient, so we headed to the store for balloons to finish things off.
That afternoon we headed to Build-a-Bear with J's best bud Ryan. They both chose to build monkeys. They stuffed, kissed the hearts, bathed and then got them all dressed up. Jonah chose a Batman costume and Ryan a cub scout uniform. Jonah was in serious need of a nap, so his patience wasn't really there for the birth certificate creation, which means Chris' patience was about spent as well. :) He got to ring the birthday bell as we checked out, but had to plug his ear because it was too loud.
By the time we got home, Jonah was in serious need of a N-A-P. He was on a time-out in his room when he decided to come out in his birthday suit and treat us all to a "naked boy" dance. I was able to coax him into clothes just in time for his guests to arrive.
We had Nana Z, Grandma & Grandpa Hardman, Kerilyn, Adam & Jenn and the Madsens over for presents, cake and ice cream. In our family it is all about the chocolate, and Jonah is no exception. As a matter of fact, he is probably worse than the rest of us. He wishes he could get chocolate milk in IV form to keep a constant flow.
He received and Indy collection, Indy Jeep and guys, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, swim rockets, squirt gun and rash guard, Buzz kite, and another train for his set. He was spoiled as usual and has been loving playing with all his new things. Thanks to everyone for his great gifts!
I am trying to come to terms with the fact that he is now three, but I have to admit it is a little hard. This year has been really fun with J. He is my best bud and I can't imagine a day without him. He makes me smile constantly. Some of the things that I love about Jonah...
- When I say "I Love You" and he says "Too"
- When he tries to sign "I Love You" with his little hand
- When he cuddles with me and puts his hand on my face
- When he tells me I am the best mom ever
- When he goes through the best friend list, "Ryan's a best friend, Noah's a best friend, Dad's a best friend, Mom's a best friend and Zoe's a best friend!"
- When he talks out of the side of his little mouth
- When he give me the "pleeeease" with a big cheese to get just what he wants
- When he used to say "so bad" after everything last summer..."I need a tookie so bad!"
- How he cares for and loves all the little ones in nursery
- Watching him play and his animated facial expressions that are hilarious
- His little wet kisses
- Holding his little, but growing bigger every day, hand
I love you so much my little J! Happy Birthday Big Boy!
