She helped Chris make three different speakers and the little switch box. She hooked up her Zune and then could switch between the three different speakers to hear the difference. Her hypothesis was correct that the box with the largest volume would produce the most bass.
She really enjoyed her project. The only problem was that when the judge came to see her project her Zune battery was dead. :( So sad! She worked so hard. She still did well, but felt like she may have placed had she been able to play it for the judge. I brought her charger so at least she could play them for all the students and parents. Way to go Zoe!
The next week I had the privilege of helping Zoe with a cow eyeball dissection. YUM! I guess that cow eyes are very similar to the human eye so they do this quite a bit. I learned quite a few things. Zoe and TJ (our desk partner for this event) were so funny. At first they didn't even dare to poke the eyeball, even with gloves on. By the end, Zoe was playing with the gel stuff from inside the eye like it was jello and running it through her fingers.
Eeeew! Zoe & TJ
I can't believe I am doing this!
Let me at it!
