Me and My Ladybug

Last Thursday, Zoe (Ladybug) and I went to a Mother-Daughter Activity for Activity Days. She put together this really cute invitation:

While we were there we made these cute frames with vinyl lettering (thanks Kecia!). I also made one for me.

After that, it was all about the chocolate! This was Zoe's first chocolate fountain experience and she was in heaven! I lost track of how much she had...but sometimes you just have to let them be kids and enjoy it.

It was a fun night. I love spending "girl" time together with her. She is my "sweetheart". At times she has the attitude of a teenager (I know, I am totally in-for-it), but yet she is my greatest love. The other day she was fighting with Noah because she said I was her best friend and he disagreed.

She loves to cuddle and be close to me. I love that she talks to me about her friends, school, gospel questions and everything and I hope that never ends! I love you Ladybug!

The last week went by in a flash and I am feeling behind in the blogging world. We went to see "Horton Hears a Who" on Friday (which was very cute!) but the most of the weekend was all about Stake Conference. We were priviledged to have Elder M. Russell Ballard and Elder Jon Huntsman. On Sunday, Elder Wirthlin joined them as well. Elder Ballard made the comment about how they didn't prepare talks, but spoke by the spirit. He said something that was directly to and for me. It strengthened my tesimony of the apostles being called of God and how our Heavenly Father knows us personally and hears our prayers. What a wonderful blessing!

Today I completed the last of my "continuing education" credits for my Mortgage Lender license. Hallalujia! I am done for two more years and it feels great! 14 hours isn't that much, but trying to squeeze it out of my already crazy schedule has been a challenge.

Chris was so awesome today! He usually isn't a big fan of being in charge of everything, but he did it all today without a single complaint. I came home from four hours of classes, went straight to violin, came home to dinner, then HE did the dishes. After that, he went outside and played with the kids while I ran out to do RS visits for nearly two more hours. When I came home the kids were in bed, ready for "prayers and tucks". Lovely day!

Well, that's a wrap. I'll try to stay more current, but no guarantees! :)

That Activity Day activity looks like such a great time. Thanks for the idea - since I am in Activity Days and Nursery, too!

Good job on your CE. I need to do mine next year and I always wait until the last possible day to finish mine. I should be better about it.

Good job on Chris' part. What a guy! I love when Mark helps out, which is very frequently.

I seriously can't believe how big Zoe is getting. Doesn't it make you so sad? Will's Scout Master came up to me on Sunday and was talking to me about him joining the scouting program. I can't believe he is going to be eight and be baptized. I wish time would slow down!

I have too many days like that and I don't even work outside my home! how awsome of Chris, too. I haven't seen your kids in years and am just shocked at how big they are - it does go way too fast. glad you are enjoying it!

I was really disappointed that I missed out on this activity. It sounds like you had a good time. The frames sure turned out cute. Love the picture of you and Zoe! She looks so grown up.
