Saturday turned out to be a great day. Not that I did anything particularly exciting, but it was one of those day where you feel like you were really productive and accomplished a lot. Here is some of the list I conquered:
- Noah's soccer game
- Zoe's violin group lesson
- Costco-we're talking the major run with coupons, two boys, and an overflowing basket
- Filled the car with gas ($82 bucks to fill up, mind you!)
- Return and pick up order from REI
- Took Noah to a birthday party
- Grocery store to get everything I didn't get at Costco
- Picked up Noah from party
- Mowed the lawn
- Weeded the front yard
All this while Chris painted at Adam's. The kids were still able to play outside in the water, too. Also, thanks to my mom for staying at my house with Jonah so he could nap while I ran Noah to his party (so maybe I cheated a little). At any rate, it felt good!
Another note on mowing the lawn: I really like it. I would not actually consider it "fun", but there is something about the work I enjoy. It is a great workout, so I have an excuse for not going to the gym. I also love that you can see the results immediately. It makes the whole yard look different. It also gives me a sort of feeling that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Weird?

I love a productive weekend! Zach has figured out (FINALLY) that I am happiest with him when he does work around the house.
I have missed reading about you. I am glad you had a productive weekend.
Glad you are back! Good job on your accomplishments. it seems to me like saturdays just happen and nothing gets done for me.
I love Saturdays that you can get so much done. Great job!!! Thanks for going to lunch on Monday, it was so great to see you!!
Always feels good to be productive. Steve has been working so hard in our yard the last few days, I have the guilty feeling from not helping enough. :\
